Polish Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said that his country has signed a contract with the United States to supply 96 American "Apache" helicopters worth $ 10 billion. This came according to what the ministry wrote on its official website on the X social networking site, where it continued: "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz has just signed a contract to supply 96 Apache attack helicopters to the Polish Armed Forces," and the contract also includes providing a package of logistical and training services and supplying ammunition and spare parts. Warsaw will begin receiving the helicopters in 2028, making Poland the second operator of the newer AH-64E Apache helicopters after the United States, said Kosiniak Kamysz, who signed the contract on behalf of the Polish side. By the end of 2024, the United States has also pledged to supply the Polish Armed Forces with eight of the earlier AH-64D helicopters as aircrew training facilities. The agr eement for the sale of 96 Apache helicopters was reached on March 12, during the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to the United States.
