Yarallah Discusses With The Director of the Security Cooperation Office Supporting And Strengthening The Air Fleet With Modern Transport Aircraft

The Chief of Staff of the Army, First Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, discussed, today, Wednesday, with the Director of the Security Cooperation Office, support and strengthening the air fleet with modern transport aircraft.

A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated that Yarallah received, today, Wednesday, the Director of the Security Cooperation Office and his accompanying delegation, and from the Iraqi side, the Commander of the Air Force and a number of relevant leadership representatives, the Director of Military Attachés, and the Director of Armor were present.

During the meeting, according to the statement, support and strengthening of the air fleet with modern transport aircraft was discussed, as the Air Force Commander gave a briefing on the proposals and future vision that aims to develop and enhance the leadership’s capabilities.

For his part, the Army Chief of Staff stressed the importance of accelerating the contracting and equipping the command with those aircraft that have proven their worth and importance in supporting and backing the units. He then listened to a briefing presented by the Director of Armor, about maintaining and sustaining the Abrams tank, and securing reserve materials, as well as contracting to purchase the tanks above to develop the capabilities of this tank type".
