25 Dead As Boat Capsized in Congo

Kinshasa: 25 people were killed Monday and at least 30 others survived, when a boat carrying them capsized on the Kwa River in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A local official said that most of the victims were football players, as they were on the boat on their way back from a match in the city of Moshi.

According to Qatar News Agency, the official suggested that poor visibility at night was the cause of the tragic accident. The rivers of the Congo are a major means of transportation for more than 100 million people, especially in remote areas.
