6 Killed, 7 Injured as Israeli Attacks on Southern Lebanon Continue

Kuwait city: The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) said Tuesday that six people were killed and seven others injured as Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon continued. It said that Israel launched an airstrike on an inhabited house in Kfar Dounine in southern Lebanon, killing six people and injuring seven others, in addition to carrying out two more strikes on the town of Srifa.

According to Qatar News Agency, the agency added that Israeli artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the towns of Al Mansouri and Majdal Zoun. Warplanes also carried out a series of airstrikes on the town of Sohmor in the Western Bekaa, and the vicinity of the prayer hall in Jibchit, in addition to successive raids targeting the town itself, coinciding with artillery shelling that struck the area.

The Israeli occupation also issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of five villages and towns: Sohmor in the Western Bekaa, Arzoun, Tayr Dibba, Al-Bazourieh, and Al-Housh. In a related development, Israeli occupation forces blew up a number of homes in Ain Al-Saghira neighbourhood of Bint Jbeil. Meanwhile, overnight forces advanced into the Houra-Ras Al-Khalleh area near the Waqf building in the town of Deir Mimas, where they planted explosives at the solar-powered water pumping station that provides the town with drinking water, triggering a massive explosion and causing severe damage to the facility.

The Israeli occupation army continues its attacks on southern Lebanon, in violation of the truce that began on April 16 for a period of 10 days and was later extended on April 24 for an additional three weeks.
