Jenin-Ma'an- A delegation from the Fatah Central Committee, consisting of the movement's deputy chairman Mahmoud al-Aloul and member of the PLO's executive committee and Fatah's central committee Azzam al-Ahmad, visited Jenin governorate to see the effects of the recent Israeli aggression on the governorate. The delegation began its visit with a meeting with the security services and the reconstruction committee, in addition to civil society institutions in the governorate, where they discussed the repercussions of the aggression and ways to confront the challenges facing reconstruction efforts. During the meeting, Fatah Deputy Chairman Mahmoud al-Aloul said: "Every citizen in Palestine knows that he is a guardian of this holy land, and our message to our people and relatives is that we are with you, and we will work with all our strength to support you and support your steadfastness." Al-Aloul pointed out that "the repeated and ongoing incursions into Jenin and its camp are unprecedented acts of destructi on and devastation, carried out by the occupation in a deliberate and systematic manner," stressing that "the visit came to support the citizens and stand with them, and to meet with all the committees that were formed as crisis cells with the aim of meeting the needs of the citizens." At the end of its visit, the delegation visited the Jenin region headquarters, where it held a meeting with members of the region, movement cadres and youth members. Al-Aloul praised, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership, the steadfastness of the people of Jenin city and camp in the face of the occupation. He said: 'We salute you for this legendary steadfastness, and we will continue to stand by you in every stage.' For his part, Al-Ahmad said: 'Jenin has taught us steadfastness, sacrifice and bravery in the face of extremist Israeli arrogance.' He stressed that 'the repeated invasion of Jenin and the destruction of its infrastructure will not make our people feel afraid, but will increase the ir determination to stand firm until the occupation is defeated.'
