Ms. Mashael Ali Al-Hammadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Information Technology Affairs at the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), has revealed the number of e-government transactions exceeded 300 million in the past years, and the number of e-government services exceeded 1,300 across all government entities, in addition to several mobile applications on smartphones in various sectors.

She added, in her statements to Qatar TV, that MOTC has recently participated in international conferences, demonstrating the Qatari experience in completing e-transactions, the challenges faced and how they were overcome, which resulted in worldwide appreciation to the State of Qatar in international indices.

When asked about the main aspects of the future plan for developing the digital government services, Al-Hammadi said that work is underway to develop Qatar Digital Government 2026 Strategy, whose main objectives include transforming users' experience from digital services to more proactive smart ones by building services to individuals on artificial intelligence systems to predict actual user needs, as well as transferring the infrastructure to local cloud computing.

Ms. Al-Hammadi also affirmed there is integration between MOTC, and many other ministries, and such integration is reflected in supporting and operating electronic networks and systems in order to complete digital transformation in the country and provide e-services with international standards.
