The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Sunday, the arrival of the Undersecretary of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the capital, Baghdad.
Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said in a statement, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing for political consultations with Japan, which will begin tomorrow with the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs after the arrival of the Japanese Foreign Ministry's Undersecretary in Baghdad today," noting that "the talks are headed by a representative of Iraq, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for bilateral relations; Muhammad Hussein Bahr Al-Uloum.
He added, "The discussions will focus on the horizon of developing relations between Baghdad and Tokyo, relying on development opportunities and strengthening partnership between the two sides."
