Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed that there are lagging projects and we have allocations that enable us to complete these projects. There are also large sums of money for ongoing projects worth 8 trillion dinars, which are allocations for the year 2024. He said in a press conference that there is no justification for increasing the allocations to the governorates more than that, as we have about 11 billion dollars, which is a lot of money. He added that we have granted powers to governorates and local governments within the government program. He stressed that infrastructure projects are a priority for the government and I will not allow public money to be wasted, and this is part of our national and moral commitment to preserving public money. He explained that there is continuous periodic follow-up of all projects in Baghdad and the governorates, and we have an integrated plan to follow up on the implementation of these projects, as well as deterrent measures against negligent employees . He continued, 'We have direct directives to interact with the media, and we are ready to cooperate and communicate to address any defect.' He explained that I will go to visit the governorates only to see and follow up on the projects, and the visits will not be for community events. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
