The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has achieved the “Recognized for Excellence – Three Stars” awarded by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) as an "Outstanding Organization." Thus, Ashghal has become the first government entity in the State of Qatar and the region to achieve this recognition under the new improved "EFQM 2020" model.

The importance of this award is manifested in emphasizing Ashghal's ability to continue carrying out works and development in the light of challenging and difficult circumstances. This is a prestigious award that has been awarded to a number of world-class international institutions. This award also emphasizes Ashghal's excellence in improving the focus on customers and partners' satisfaction, improving the quality of provided services, enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness, saving costs and improving overall performance.
