A delegation from Bahrain participated in the opening session of the World Economic Forum's Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. The opening was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Advisor to His Majesty the King for Diplomatic Affairs; Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy; Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, the Minister of Sustainable Development and CEO of the Economic Development Board (EDB); Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce; Khalid Humaidan, the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB); Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company; Iain Lindsay, EDB Advisor, and Shaikh Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the Policies and Coordination Dire ctor General at the Prime Minister's Office; and Sarah Ahmed Buheji, the CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA). The World Economic Forum's special meeting in Riyadh brought together over 700 officials from governments, global organisations, businesses, and experts. The event features sessions and discussions aimed at strengthening international cooperation and developing sustainable solutions to economic and geopolitical challenges, as well as fostering new partnerships.
