Bahraini-Dutch relations, cooperation discussed

Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabr Al Dosari, Brussels-based Bahraini Ambassador to the Netherlands, and Head of the kingdom’s Mission to the European Union, met Marc Gerritsen, the Director of Middle East and North Africa Affairs at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ambassador, who is on an official working meeting to Amsterdam, praised the advanced level reached by the Bahraini-Dutch relations since their establishment about 50 years ago, affirming the kingdom’s keenness to strengthen its distinguished cooperation and friendship ties with the Netherlands across various political, economic, social and cultural fields to achieve common interests. He wished the Netherlands and its people further progress and prosperity.

Marc Gerritsen affirmed the solid ties between the two kingdoms, praising Bahrain’s keenness to further develop its relations with his country in all fields of mutual interest.

The two sides lauded the level reached by the two kingdoms’ relations. They also discussed ways to bolster economic and trade cooperation, as well as areas of investment in the fields of sustainable development, the environment, clean renewable energy and agriculture.

They also discussed increasing the volume of bilateral trade exchange, and cooperation in the Islamic banking sector to achieve the two kingdoms’ interests.
