Barcelona: FC Barcelona solidified its lead in La Liga after a 3-1 victory against visiting team Espanyol in Round 12 of the competition on Sunday. Barcelonas goals came from Dani Olmo, who scored twice in the 12th and 31st minutes, and Raphinha, who added another in the 23rd minute. Espanyols sole goal was netted by Javier Puado in the 63rd minute. With this win, Barcelonas tally rose to 33 points, widening its lead to nine points over Real Madrid, whose game against Valencia was postponed due to severe flooding in eastern Spain. Espanyol remains in 17th place with 10 points. According to Qatar News Agency, in another La Liga match, Atletico Madrid defeated Las Palmas 2-0. Giuliano Simeone and Alexander Sorloth scored in the 37th and 83rd minutes, respectively. Atletico now holds 23 points in third place, while Las Palmas stays in 18th with nine points.
