Beirut: Two people have been killed and several others injured in an Israeli drone strike on eastern Lebanon. Lebanon's National News Agency reported the strike on Monday targeted Sahmar in the Western Bekaa district of eastern Lebanon.
According to Qatar News Agency, this comes at a time when Israeli forces continue their attacks in the south. Airstrikes resumed on Majdal Zoun in Tyre, as well as the towns of Shoukin, Ain Al-Samahiya, Mifdoun, and Zawtar Al-Sharqiya in Nabatieh district.
In addition, an Israeli strike on an orchard near Abbasiya forest in Tyre also killed several Syrian workers and injured others.
Earlier, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said the total number of casualties from the Israeli offensive on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 2,055 killed and 6,588 injured, amid ongoing military escalation.
