Manama, The Ministry of Information has announced an extension for receiving submissions for the 8th edition of the Prime Minister's Journalism Award until May 1, 2024. Every journalist working in one of the local daily, weekly, or periodical newspapers or magazines published in the Kingdom of Bahrain in Arabic or English, with works published during the year 2023, is eligible to participate. Additionally, students from media colleges and departments at Bahraini universities are encouraged to submit their works to compete for the awards offered, in accordance with the set conditions. The award categories include Best Column, Best Investigative Journalism, Best Journalistic Interview, Best Journalistic Photo, Best Newspaper Niche Page or Supplement, Best Visual Journalistic Content (Video), Best Infographic Report, Best Press Institution's Website or Electronic Account, Best University Student Journalism Project, as well as the " Journalism Personality Award", which is granted annually to a Bahraini journali st in recognition of their contributions to the field of journalism, their impactful roles in enriching the journalistic landscape, and their significant contributions to the national journalism scene.
