Deputy Commander of Joint Operations discusses with a French military official joint security cooperation

The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, received on Tuesday, General Christopher Lucas, Deputy Director of International Relations and Strategy at the French Ministry of the Armed Forces.

A statement of the joint operations stated: “Al-Mohammadawi praised the distinguished efforts and the important role played by the French forces in the fields of training and consultation within the international coalition forces.

The two sides also discussed the specific and strategic duties undertaken and performed by the Joint Operations Command in the war on terrorism and protecting stability in the country. Their structure and the role of the staff bodies in the command were also reviewed against the background of the tasks they perform, foremost among which is the pursuit of defeated terrorist elements.

The need to develop the prospects for bilateral relations and military cooperation with the French side at various levels was also emphasized.
