Doha: The Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated the graduation of the fifth cohort of the Executive Programme in Diplomatic Studies and International Affairs for the 2025-2026 academic year. The programme is organized in cooperation with Georgetown University in Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ceremony took place on the sidelines of the university's 2026 graduation ceremony and was attended by a number of dignitaries, diplomats, faculty members, and the graduates' families. The ceremony saw the graduation of 13 diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who completed the programme's academic and practical requirements. These requirements aim to enhance their knowledge and skills in the fields of diplomacy and international relations, keeping pace with international developments and strengthening the efficiency of Qatari diplomatic work.
The programme reflects the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' commitment to investing in the development of national talent and enhancing diplomatic capabilities according to the highest academic and professional standards, through strategic partnerships with leading international educational institutions. HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Horr affirmed that the executive programme embodies the Ministry's commitment to building a cadre of qualified diplomats capable of representing the State of Qatar effectively and competently in various international forums. He commended the ongoing and fruitful cooperation with Georgetown University in Qatar and the high-quality academic opportunities it provides, which contribute to developing institutional and diplomatic performance.
