Engineers Without Borders – Qatar Unveils New Engineering Clinic Initiative

Doha: The Engineers Without Borders - Qatar program, part of the Qatar Society of Engineers, has launched its engineering clinic services and announced the commencement of accepting applications from citizens eager to benefit from these services. This initiative marks a significant step towards community solidarity, aiming to provide innovative technical solutions to the challenges faced by Qatari families, particularly those in the process of building.

According to Qatar News Agency, the program released a statement on Tuesday highlighting the clinic's mission to offer more than just traditional consulting. Eng. Khalid Abdulrahim Al Sayed, a board member of the Qatar Society of Engineers and Director of the Engineers Without Borders program, emphasized that the clinic serves as a professional volunteer platform. It is dedicated to assisting citizens in constructing their homes, resolving disputes, and providing technical support to address issues or delays encountered with companies.

Al Sayed further explained that the clinic seeks to minimize costs and develop quick engineering solutions at the lowest possible expense, helping to ease the financial strain on families. The clinic's team of specialized engineers is tasked with reviewing and monitoring designs and construction sites, ensuring quality and preventing technical errors before they occur.

The program, which launched its website in December 2025, has garnered significant interest from both national and resident engineering talents. It now features a diverse group of engineers across various disciplines, ready to contribute to Qatar's urban development efforts.

Additionally, the program director disclosed plans to forge strategic partnerships with ministries, government agencies, banks, and charities. These collaborations aim to ensure that the clinic's projects align with Qatar's strategic directions and support its urban growth, adhering to the latest international standards.
