Doha, Yousif Abdullah Al Humood, the Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, headed the Bahraini delegation participating in the 121st meeting of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee held in Qatar. The meeting focused on financial and economic topics, aiming to strengthen joint Gulf action. Key topics included the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), the Payments Linkage System Agreement, and updates on projects and studies by the Economic and Development Affairs Authority. The meeting also reviewed the plan to achieve economic unity by 2025. The meeting discussed the outcomes of the 82nd GCC Central Bank Governors Committee meeting, Customs Union Authority meetings in GCC countries, and the seventh finance ministries' small group meeting on G20 financial initiatives. It also addressed the proposal of International Monetary Fund (IMF) studies for the joint meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee, GCC Governors Commi ttee, and the IMF Director General.
