Doha: French President Emmanuel Macron announced Wednesday the death of a second French soldier serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), who succumbed to his wounds after being injured in southern Lebanon. Macron stated via the X platform that the soldier, who was transferred to France on Monday after being seriously wounded in Lebanon, "died this morning from his injuries."

According to Qatar News Agency, a French soldier was killed, and three others were wounded last Saturday in an attack targeting UNIFIL in southern Lebanon.
