Government hospitals, BDS sign cooperation agreement

Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) and Chairman of Bahrain Diabetes Society (BDS), signed a cooperation agreement between BDS and the government hospitals.

Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, CEO of government hospitals, and Dr. Maryam Al-Hajri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, were present.

Dr. Shaikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation to government hospitals for their permanent cooperation with the society and charitable institutions, and for the support provided to children and young adults with type 1 diabetes.

This agreement came to support initiatives aimed at reducing the risks and complications of diabetes and raising awareness of prevention methods.

SCH chairman affirmed that this agreement aimed to enhance partnership between governmental and private organizations in the Kingdom.
