Manama, His Highness Staff Commander Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Alastair Long, and the Deputy Commander of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), UK Royal Navy Commodore Mark Anderson CBE, at Riffa Palace. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman noted that relations between Bahrain and the UK continue to advance thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the historic Bahrain-UK relationship, which is based on cooperation and strategic partnership across various sectors, notably in military and defence, affirming the importance of furthering relations to meet mutual aspirations. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman affirmed the UK's prominent role and efforts, alongside allied countri es, in safeguarding security and stability in the region and internationally.
