HMC: More than one million medical supplies delivered to patients through home delivery

In conjunction with the world’s celebration of World Pharmacists Day, which falls on the 25th of September each year, the pharmacy cadres at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) continue to play an important and essential role in the health care system in Qatar, making this occasion an opportunity to honor them and express appreciation for their contributions to building a world-class health care system in the country.

Dr. Moza Al Hail, Executive Director of the Pharmacy Department at HMC, said that pharmacists played a pivotal role in combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as they made great sacrifices as front-line workers and made a lot of effort to adapt to and combat the requirements of the pandemic.

Dr. Al Hail pointed out that the primary and very important role of the pharmacy teams at HMC during the Coronavirus pandemic included that the delivery of more than one million medical supplies by the teams of the medication delivery service at HMC to patients through the home delivery service as well as the preparation of nearly 105,000 intravenous medicines to patients in facilities designated to treat cases infected with the Coronavirus.
