Manama, The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with the Chairman of the Shura Council, HE Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh. His Royal Highness emphasised that the legislative system in the Kingdom of Bahrain has developed and evolved in all fields, driven by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. HRH the Deputy King commended the Shura Council for its important contributions and vital role alongside the Council of Representatives in promoting integrated efforts to advance national progress and development. His Royal Highness expressed the Kingdom's dedication to shaping its present and future, meeting the aspirations of its people. HRH highlighted the Shura Council's role as an active development partner within Team Bahrain. His Royal Highness was then presented with a book titled "The Shura Council, 20 Years of Development" by the Advisor of the Chairman of the Shura Council, Dr Fawzia Yousif Al Jeeb. The publication highlights the Shura Council's legisl ative efforts in the Kingdom of Bahrain over five legislative terms, from 2002 to 2022. It also celebrates the Kingdom's progress in advancing a positive democratic trajectory, a path laid by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa. HRH the Deputy King commended the efforts involved in drafting and completing the book, thanking Dr. Fawzia Al Jeeb for her work in documenting legislative initiatives and wishing her continued success. For his part, HE Al Saleh expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness for his unwavering commitment to promoting cooperation between the Executive Authority and legislative bodies, as well as for the ongoing support for Bahraini professionals, which serves as an incentive to continue advancing the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin S alman bin Hamad Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.
