Baghdad, Masoud Pezeshkian took the constitutional oath as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the presence of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and a number of regional and international guests. Pezeshkian confirmed in the oath he recited before the head of the judiciary that he will be a guardian of Islam, the Islamic Republic system and its constitution. The constitutional oath-taking ceremony was attended by senior officials in the Islamic Republic and hundreds of delegations from many countries of the world and extensive local and foreign media coverage. On Sunday 28/7/2024, the new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian received the inauguration order for the fourteenth term of the presidency of the Islamic Republic from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah al-Uzma Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
