Kirkuk: The Iraqi Defense Ministry announced today the downing of a drone in Kirkuk province, northern Iraq, with no casualties reported.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry said that an unidentified drone was detected flying at a low altitude within the area of responsibility of the Kirkuk Operations Command. The forces in the area immediately engaged the drone upon detection.

The ministry noted that following the incident, relevant authorities went to the crash site to take the necessary technical measures.
