Tulkarem: The Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression on the city of Tulkarem for the 36th consecutive day, and on the Nur Shams camp for the 23rd day, amid escalating military reinforcements, forced displacement and home demolitions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the occupation forces deployed military reinforcements to the city and Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps. Troops patrolled streets and neighborhoods, firing live ammunition intensively, while explosions were heard in the Jabal Al-Nasr area of Nur Shams camp.
Israeli forces remain stationed along Nablus Street, which connects the two camps. They have seized residential buildings, converting them into military outposts. In Nur Shams camp, Israeli forces forced residents of Jabal Al-Nasr and Qalansawe neighborhoods to evacuate their homes, after raiding them and firing sound bombs at them, while using their members as human shields.
According to the Popular Committee of Nur Shams Camp, the number of displaced residents forced from their homes has risen to approximately 9,000 people. In the same context, the occupation forces stormed on Monday the Shuweika neighborhood, north of Tulkarem, where they raided several homes, and detained three Palestinians.
For the 24th consecutive day, the occupation forces continue to close the gate of the Jabara checkpoint at the southern entrance to Tulkarem, isolating the city from the villages and towns of al-Kafriyat and the rest of the West Bank governorates.
