Kuwait city: Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced late Tuesday that the country's air defense systems are currently intercepting hostile missile and drone attacks.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a press statement, Colonel Staff Saud Al Atwan, spokesperson for the Ministry, said that any explosion sounds heard are the result of air defense systems intercepting incoming threats.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry reported that its air defense units had detected 17 ballistic missiles and 13 hostile drones within the country's airspace over the past 24 hours.
