Doha: Lebanese military units have deployed across several towns in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon in coordination with the Quintet Committee overseeing the ceasefire deal, following the Israeli withdrawal from those areas. In a statement, the Lebanese army said that military units are conducting engineering sweeps and opening roads inside these towns, calling on citizens to abide by the directives of the deployed units to ensure their safety.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese army keeps coordinating with UNIFIL pertaining to the situation in border areas within the resolution 1701.
