The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received today, Monday, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, and his accompanying delegation.
A statement by the regional government stated that the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed his thanks and appreciation for the facilities and assistance provided by the Kurdistan Regional Government to Iranian visitors coming to Iraq through the border crossings of the region with the aim of participating in the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein in the city of Karbala. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran also praised the progress and development witnessed by the Kurdistan region, especially the city of Erbil.
In another context of the meeting, the solution to the problems between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government was discussed on the basis of the constitution and the signed agreements. In this regard, the Prime Minister confirmed that the region had fulfilled all its obligations within the framework of the budget law and the constitution, calling on the federal government to send financial dues to the region.
