Meteorology Department Warns of Thundery Rain Offshore at Night

Doha: The Meteorology Department has issued a warning regarding the weather conditions expected until 6 pm on Monday. The forecast predicts a relatively hot day with scattered clouds and the possibility of light rain inshore, transitioning to milder conditions at night.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions are expected to include scattered clouds, becoming partly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain at night. This rain may be thundery at times, accompanied by winds shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly at speeds between 5 and 15 knots, with gusts reaching up to 25 knots during thundery rain.

Inshore, winds will predominantly be southeasterly, ranging from 5 to 15 knots. Sea heights inshore will vary between 1 and 3 feet, potentially rising to 5 feet with thundery rain. Offshore, sea heights will range from 2 to 4 feet, increasing to 8 feet in thundery conditions.

Visibility is expected to range from 5 to 10 kilometers inshore and 4 to 9 kilometers offshore, potentially decreasing to 3 kilometers or less during thundery rain. The maximum temperature in Doha is anticipated to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
