More Than 40 Killed In Eastern DR Congos Armed Attack

More than 40 people have been killed in an attack on a camp for displaced people in Ituri province in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Chief of Bahema Badjere district Jean Richard Lenga, said more than 40 people were killed with knives and firearms, accusing a militia active in eastern Congo of being behind this operation.

The local official confirmed that the authorities are still searching for the perpetrators involved in this attack.

At least 30 civilians were killed in April in an attack targeting a village in Ituri province, which is riven by violent conflict between armed groups in northeastern DRC.
