Doha: The Moroccan army announced on Sunday that the body of one of two American soldiers who went missing in southern Morocco on May 2 during the "African Lion 2026" military exercises had been recovered.
According to Qatar News Agency, the army stated that intensive search operations carried out by the Royal Armed Forces led to the recovery of the body of 1st Lt. Kendrick Lamont Key Jr. from a rocky slope in the Cap Draa area on Saturday.
Search-and-rescue operations are continuing to locate the second missing American soldier.
