The MP of the Sadiqoun bloc in Babylon, Thamer Dhiban, confirmed that the Central Bank has lost control of the parallel market for exchanging the dollar despite all its measures.

Dhiban said in a statement, "The bank's actions after a full year did not enable it to reduce the parallel price of the dinar or control the smuggling of the dollar on the black market and speculation in it."

He added that this issue and its relationship to the rise in prices in the local market now poses a great danger to the Iraqi citizen and reduces his purchasing power.”
