National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mariam Adhbi Al Jalahma attended the second African Medical Exhibition and Conference "Africa Health", being held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi on June 6-9.
The four-day 2023 edition is being attended by healthcare stakeholders from government institutions and major international companies.
Dr. Jalahma held a meeting with Chairman of Egyptian Medicines Authority, Dr. Tamer Essam, to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two countries, developing trade exchange, and encouraging health investment.
The two sides discussed ways of exchanging experiences with the Bahraini side in the areas of control over medical preparations, focusing on efforts to further improve the quality at the level of the health care sector in the two countries.
Dr. Al Jalahma also met the chief executive officers and representatives of five companies specialized in the manufacture of medical supplies, especially those related to the field of laboratories, who expressed their desire to invest in Bahrain as a gateway to the markets of the GCC countries.
During the meetings, it was agreed that the CEOs and representatives of these companies would visit the Kingdom next October, in coordination with the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement.
