Oman Sultan and Jordan King Discuss Regional Developments and De-escalation Efforts

Muscat: Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman discussed the latest developments in the Middle East during a telephone call on Tuesday with King Abdullah II of Jordan. The conversation focused on reviewing bilateral relations and exploring ways to enhance cooperation across various fields to serve their mutual interests.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two leaders addressed the escalation in the region and emphasized the need to reach an agreement that would end the conflict and guarantee the security of Arab states. They affirmed the belief that the security of the Gulf is integral to both regional and global security and stability.

King Abdullah II highlighted the importance of intensifying coordination and cooperation to strengthen joint Arab security. He commended the Sultanate of Oman for its efforts to advance de-escalation through diplomacy and dialogue.
