Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi met Thursday with his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, to discuss ways to strengthen relations between the two countries. During their meeting in Muscat, the two ministers also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and developments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing global supply chains and maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. Both ministers emphasized the importance of removing current obstacles to facilitate the resumption of smooth international trade and support global economic stability.
