The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, called for mobilizing international efforts aimed at combating terrorism.

Al-Hakim said in a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of Victims of Terrorism: "We call for mobilizing international efforts aimed at combating terrorism, and promoting a comprehensive approach to protecting human rights by expressing the needs of victims and defending their rights."

He added, "On the Iraqi side, we urge the government and its diplomatic channels to follow up on the resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly regarding strengthening international cooperation to assist victims of terrorism and to establish a fund to support and provide them with financial and moral justice."
