Tunis: The Tunisian Football Association announced Friday the use of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in all stadiums where the remaining league matches will be held this season. According to Qatar News Agency, the Association confirmed in a statement that it will use the VAR technology starting from the 21st round of the league, which will begin tomorrow (Saturday) as part of efforts to improve the quality of refereeing and reduce refereeing errors that may affect the results of matches. This decision comes in the wake of controversy and protests against the refereeing performance in most of the matches this season, which are witnessing strong competition for the league title. Taraji Sports Club leads the Tunisian League standings with 45 points, three points ahead of its pursuer Etoile du Sahel in second place, and five points ahead of the third-place holders, Monastir Union and Club Africain.
