Beirut: One person was killed and seven others were wounded in a new Israeli airstrike that targeted eastern Lebanon on Friday evening.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Health's emergency operations center stated that Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on the town of Al-Bazaliyah in the northern Bekaa Valley, killing one woman and wounding seven others.

Israeli aircraft also struck the Al-Midan neighborhood in the city of Nabatieh, while Israeli artillery shelled the outskirts of the towns of Al-Bayada and Tayr Harfa in southern Lebanon.

Earlier today, six people were killed and 17 others were injured in two Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.
