Palestine Calls for Urgent Arab League Meeting over Ongoing Israeli Crimes

The State of Palestine submitted an urgent request to the General Secretariat of the Arab League to hold an extraordinary session of the League Council at the level of permanent delegates as soon as possible, to discuss the continued crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the separation and military siege of the northern part of the Strip from the rest of its parts. In a statement on Sunday, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League Hossam Zaki said that consultations are currently underway with Yemen, the current President of the Council of the Arab League, regarding the proposed date for holding the extraordinary session of the Council of the Arab League at the level of permanent delegates, based on the request of the State of Palestine. The occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea, and air, since Oct. 7, 2023, which has resulted in the martyrdom of 42,603 Palestinians and the injury of 99,795 others, the majority of whom are c hildren and women, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of people are still missing under the rubble.
