Paris Saint-Germain Move Closer to Ligue 1 Title With Win Over Brest

Paris: Paris Saint-Germain defeated visiting Brest 1-0 on Sunday in the 32nd round of the French league season. Dasira Doua scored the only goal in the 82nd minute, giving the Paris club a crucial three points that moved it closer to securing the title.

According to Qatar News Agency, Paris Saint-Germain increased its tally to 73 points at the top of the standings, six points ahead of second-place Lens, and now needs just one more point to clinch the championship with two rounds remaining. Brest remained 12th with 38 points.

In the same round, Lille defeated Monaco 1-0 away from home after Denis Zakaria scored an own goal in the 72nd minute. Lille moved up to 61 points in third place, while Monaco stayed seventh on 54 points.

Olympique de Marseille also secured a 1-0 away win over Le Havre, with Mason Greenwood scoring in the 55th minute. Marseille climbed to 56 points in sixth place, while Le Havre remained 14th with 32 points.

Auxerre defeated Nice 2-1 to move up to 15th place with 31 points, ahead of 16th-place Nice on goal difference. Elsewhere, Angers drew 1-1 with Strasbourg, Rennes beat Paris FC 2-1, Lorient routed Metz 4-0, and Toulouse defeated Lyon 2-1.
