Moscow, The Bahraini parliamentary delegation concluded its participation in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), chaired by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Deputy Speaker of the APA. The meeting took place in Moscow from September 25 to 28. During the conference, the delegation presented two draft resolutions. The first focused on promoting women's empowerment and gender equality in Asia, addressing gender issues through supportive policies and legislation, enhancing education and employment opportunities, and combating violence. The second resolution aimed to strengthen the alliance of civilisations and interfaith dialogue in Asia, encouraging mutual understanding, promoting religious cooperation, and developing pluralistic policies. It also advocated for regional and international collaboration to share best practices and achieve peace and understanding among diverse cultures. On the sidelines of the participation, the delegation em phasised that such engagements contribute to enhancing Bahrain's regional standing and facilitate the exchange of experiences in democratic practices across various Arab countries, thereby improving legislative outputs. The Bahraini parliamentary delegation was led by MP Ahmed Al Salloom, and included Dr. Ibtisam Mohamed Saleh Al Dallal, Chairperson of the Services Committee in the Shura Council and Vice Chairperson of the delegation, as well as MP Bader bin Saleh Al Tamimi, member of the Council of Representatives.
