The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, affirmed that Iraq supports the efforts made to achieve security and stability in brotherly Yemen
The media office of the presidency said in a statement, "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Sunday, at the Baghdad Palace, the Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, in the presence of Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.
The statement added, "Minister Ahmed Awad conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, to President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.
The President affirmed that Iraq supports the efforts made to achieve security and stability in brotherly Yemen, pointing to the need to adopt political dialogue to reach a solution that guarantees the promotion of peace for the Yemeni people, who have suffered a lot during the past years.
For his part, Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak expressed his happiness at meeting the President of the Republic, praising Iraq's support for the security and stability of Yemen, and stressing work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iraq to activate the joint ministerial committees.
The minister indicated that the situation is calm in Yemen, and work is underway to achieve stability, and there are initiatives to revive peace efforts, as negotiations are currently underway to reach solutions that serve Yemen and the Yemenis./ End
