Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Attends Key Meeting on Iranian Aggression in Riyadh

Riyadh: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani participated in the Consultative Ministerial Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Group of Arab and Islamic Countries on Iranian Aggression, held in Riyadh. The meeting gathered foreign ministers and representatives from several nations, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkiye, the Syrian Arab Republic, the State of Kuwait, the Republic of Lebanon, and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was convened by Saudi Arabia to address Iranian escalation and enhance regional coordination to protect the region's stability. The ministers strongly condemned Iranian missile and drone attacks, viewing them as violations of sovereignty and international law. They held Iran fully responsible for the resulting losses and called for an immediate and unconditional cessation of aggression, urging adherence to Security Council resolutions.

The meeting further highlighted the dangers posed by supporting militias and destabilizing security in the region. It emphasized that Iran must reconsider its actions, warning that continued violations of good neighborliness and state sovereignty could have severe consequences for Iran itself and regional security. The ministers conveyed that such actions would negatively affect Iran's relations with regional countries and peoples, who are committed to defending their interests against threats.
