Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani said that the State Administration Coalition confirmed that local elections would be held on time.

He added in a meeting with a number of representatives of Iraqi television channels: We allocated money and it was spent for these elections.

He continued: We want an elected council that represents the people of the governorate and oversees the distribution of financial allocations.

Regarding the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees, Al-Sudani said that there is no funding in the budget law for the salaries of the region’s employees, but rather Kurdistan’s share.

He added that we are obligated to implement the tripartite budget law, and there are difficulties in implementing it, stressing that the region has no surplus funds.

He continued that the issue of the region's salaries is a national moral entitlement towards our citizens in Kurdistan, indicating that the Council of Ministers does not have the authority to bypass the law, but we can grant loans.

He said that Parliament requested the Finance Ministers of the center and the region yesterday.

He added: We will alleviate the crisis and the suffering of the citizens of the Kurdistan region.

Regarding the Jadriya lands, Al-Sudani said that some of the heirs of the Jadriya lands case received money from the buyers, and there are decisions regarding this issue that have taken a final degree.

He added that the issue of Al-Jadriya was opened to several cases in other regions, and we dealt with it with the same procedures.

He continued: There is no person, entity or party protected if it is proven that he is involved in the Jadriya lands issue.
