Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa Ronald Lamola. During the conversation, they reviewed recent military escalations in the region and their potential impact on regional and international security and stability. They also explored peaceful resolutions to ongoing disputes.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs condemned Iranian attacks on Qatari territory, stating that such actions are unacceptable under any circumstances. He emphasized Qatar's commitment to remaining neutral in regional conflicts and its efforts to mediate dialogue between Iran and the international community.

HE Sheikh Mohammed also highlighted the risks of targeting vital infrastructure, such as water, food, and energy facilities, warning that such actions could lead to significant risks for the region's populations. He called for an immediate halt to escalatory actions, advocating for negotiations, reason, and wisdom to resolve the crisis while maintaining regional security.

HE Minister Lamola of South Africa emphasized the need for de-escalation and urged all parties to use restraint and return to diplomatic negotiations to prevent further instability in the region.
