Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty on Saturday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on the rising military tensions in the region and their implications for both regional and international security. Discussion points included exploring peaceful resolutions to ongoing disputes.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the urgency of halting unjustified Iranian attacks on Qatar and neighboring countries. He underscored the dangers of such attacks targeting critical infrastructure, particularly those concerning water, food, and energy resources.
Emphasizing the need for enhanced coordination and joint efforts, His Excellency called for a return to negotiations. He advocated for prioritizing reason and wisdom to manage the crisis effectively, ensuring global energy security, freedom of navigation, environmental safety, and regional stability.
