According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Watan newspaper emphasized the principles outlined by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. These principles focus on encouraging positive responses to mediation efforts, addressing crisis root causes through peaceful dialogue, and achieving sustainable agreements to prevent renewed escalation. This was underscored during meetings in Washington with US Vice President J. D. Vance and a phone call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty, which centered on regional developments, particularly the ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
Al-Watan reinforced Qatar's rejection of using the Strait of Hormuz as a conflict pressure point and called for strengthening coexistence based on sovereignty and good-neighborly relations, asserting that peace is achievable only through constructive dialogue.
Meanwhile, Al-Raya newspaper reported on the statement by HE Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani at a UN Security Council Arria-formula meeting. The session, organized by the UK, France, Denmark, Greece, and Latvia, discussed the West Bank situation, including East Jerusalem. Al-Raya highlighted Qatar's firm strategy urging the international community to address Israeli violations threatening regional peace, emphasizing the need to halt settlement expansions that undermine international legitimacy and the two-state solution.
