Doha: The State of Qatar has officially expressed its support for the recent agreement to integrate the Syrian Democratic Forces into the institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic. This development is seen as a significant step towards enhancing civil peace, security, and stability within Syria, alongside efforts to establish a governance system built on institutional integrity and the rule of law.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on Monday, emphasizing the importance of Syria’s stability and prosperity. The statement highlighted the necessity for the Syrian state’s exclusive control over military weapons through a unified army representing all Syrian factions. This control is crucial for maintaining the country’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

The Ministry also reiterated Qatar’s unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty and the aspirations of the Syrian people towards achieving freedom, development, and prosperity.
