Doha: The State of Qatar took part in an extraordinary meeting focused on consular affairs, involving deputy ministers of foreign affairs from the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and representatives from the GCC General Secretariat.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was conducted virtually, and Qatar was represented by HE Director of the Consular Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Subaiey. The discussions centered on current consular procedures, strategies for providing joint consular support to GCC citizens, and ensuring coordination on consular matters, especially in countries where some GCC states lack diplomatic missions.
